Julian Starfest Description: A three day astronomy exhibition and star party. Come camp and enjoy the dark skies of Julian with your telescope. Julian is one of the last places in Southern California with nearly 6th magnitude skies and clear steady seeing. Astronomy vendors and Manufacturers will be displaying the latest equipment and offering fantastic event pricing. Guest speakers will entertain you on Friday night and all day Saturday. Borrego-Springs-based California Overland offers guided wine tours every weekend from Memorial Day until November. Guests experience 4-5 free wine tasting stops, a gourmet lunch, discount purchases and a free wine glass. Guests can be picked up at their Julian lodging on Saturdays and some Sundays at noon for the 5-1/2 hour tour. Large groups may book private tours on weekdays but reservations are required.
