7:00am 8:00am 9:00am 10:00am [10:30am] Beading Class Description: Peyote Tube Bracelet Learn to make your own beaded beads using peyote stitch. You will learn to make peyote tubes without using a tubular form. You will easily make a series of peyote tubes which can be incorporated into a creative bracelet design. This is a fun and easy class that will give you the tools to do many things with these peyote tubes. Fee: $30. Discount on all materials and supplies purchased on the day of class. Advance registration is required. Seating is limited 11:00am 12:00pm 1:00pm 2:00pm 3:00pm 4:00pm 5:00pm [5:00pm] Fundraising Dinner-Project Backpack Description: This year local resident, Janet Jones is once again organizing a backpack drive for our local students. For three years Janet has collected school supplies and donations in order to fill as many backpacks as possible for our local students. A fundraising dinner has been scheduled at Poncho Villas in Julian for August 4th. From 5pm to 8:30pm. Poncho’s will donate 20% of all the orders during that time. In addition, a bake sale will be held at the event and 100% of those proceeds go to the cause. Community members are also encouraged to bring school supplies to the dinner to donate. Items needed include: pencils, paper, binders and binder dividers, pens, colored pencils, markers and crayons. Even calculators and composition books are needed. The Julian Educational Foundation has agreed to MATCH all donations received for this cause up to $500.00. School supply costs add up quickly and the funds will be put to great use right here in Julian.
